Natural cultured pearls are organic gems that require thoughtful handling to preserve their delicate surface nacre layers and keep the sterling silver elements bright:

• The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your makeup, perfumes, hairsprays, and body lotions before putting on your earrings. Cultured pearls are porous, and cosmetic chemicals can dull their surface luster over time.

• Remove the earrings before swimming in chlorinated pools, relaxing in hot tubs, or taking a shower.

• Take the earrings off before exercising, playing sports, or going to bed to prevent the fine linear bars from bending or pulling on the earlobes.

• Avoid automated cleaning methods: Never place these earrings inside automated ultrasonic cleaners or steam machines. High-frequency vibrations and intense heat can permanently fracture or loosen organic pearls. Do not use harsh liquid chemical silver dips.

• To clean safely: Gently wipe the pearls and silver bars after wear with a clean, dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth to remove surface skin oils. For a deeper wash, use room-temperature water mixed with a single drop of mild, neutral soap. Wipe gently, rinse thoroughly with fresh water, and lay flat on a dry towel to air-dry completely.

• Store your earrings flat in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box to protect them from being scratched by harder gemstone jewelry or tangled with sharp metal chains.
