Embrace the rare, shifting hues of the East African sky with this elegant natural Tanzanite pendant necklace. Hand-selected and curated for our studio collections, this piece features a circular openwork medallion crafted from 925 sterling silver with a warm, luxurious rose gold plating. At the center of the delicate filigree frame is a cascading cluster of three oval-cut natural Tanzanites, displaying their signature violet-blue color. The woven openwork tendrils are subtly accented with tiny, brilliant-cut Cubic Zirconia (CZ) stones that add a soft, shimmering contrast to the rich tones of the tanzanite and rose gold.

Suspended from a matching rose gold-plated sterling silver cable chain, this refined piece belongs to our carefully chosen guest collections. It bridges contemporary style with classic openwork geometry, making it a beautiful everyday luxury or a thoughtful gift.

Care & Wear Info

Tanzanite is a precious and unique gemstone found in only one place on Earth, carrying a hardness ranking of 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Because it is more delicate than sapphire or ruby and features a fine rose gold plating over sterling silver, careful maintenance is required to preserve its vibrant violet fire and bright finish:

  • The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your perfumes, hairsprays, cosmetics, and body lotions before putting on your necklace. The chemicals and oils found in daily grooming products can coat the tanzanite facets, clouding its interaction with light and speeding up the degradation of the rose gold plating.

  • Always remove your necklace before showering, swimming in chlorinated pools, or handling household cleaning solutions to protect the natural gemstone structure and the plated surface.

  • Remove the necklace before intense physical workouts, sports, or sleeping to avoid accidental snags on the openwork frame or putting stress on the fine chain links.

  • Avoid harsh automated cleaning: Never place this pendant inside automated ultrasonic cleaner tanks or steam machines. Tanzanite is sensitive to sudden temperature changes and vibrations, which can cause internal fractures or loosen the small accent stones. Avoid commercial liquid jewelry chemical dips as well.

  • To clean safely: Simply wipe the piece down gently after wear with a clean, dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth. If a deeper clean is needed, use room-temperature water mixed with a single drop of mild dish soap, gently wiping with a soft cloth. Do not use stiff brushes, rinse thoroughly, and dry immediately.

  • Store the necklace flat in its own soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box to prevent the chain from tangling or scratching against harder gemstones.
