Natural tourmaline is a durable gemstone, but its premium gold-plated silver setting requires mindful care to protect its flawless shine and preserve the gold layer:

• The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your perfumes, skin lotions, self-tanners, and hairsprays before putting on your bracelet. Chemical compounds can break down gold plating and dull the natural face of the tourmalines over time.

• Remove your bracelet before washing your hands, showering, bathing, or swimming in chlorinated pools and salt water.

• Take the piece off before engaging in rigorous activities, exercising, gardening, or cleaning to protect the fine prong settings from catching and prevent surface abrasions to the stones.

• Avoid automated cleaning methods: Never place gold-plated or multi-gemstone jewelry into automated ultrasonic tanks or steam cleaners. Intense vibrations can loosen the accent stones or strip the gold finish. Absolutely avoid harsh industrial chemical jewelry dips.

• To clean safely: Gently wipe the bracelet after each wear with a clean, dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth to lift skin oils and dust.
