Celebrate the raw, untamed beauty of the Australian outback with this exceptional, one-of-a-kind natural white opal ring. Sourced directly from the world-renowned Coober Pedy fields, the rough opal was cut, shaped, and polished directly in our studio. The stone displays a mesmerizing, iridescent play-of-color, flashing soft pinks, fiery oranges, and neon greens from deep within its milky-white body.
The setting is an organic, sculptural masterpiece, custom-built by hand to follow the exact contours of the polished opal. Crafted from 925 sterling silver, the entire surface of the band features a distinctive, heavily textured finish created meticulously with a diamond-tip hammer. To add a striking modern contrast to the organic silverwork, a brilliant-cut lab-grown diamond is seamlessly flush-set into the side of the shoulder, catching the light beautifully. This is a true, singular piece of wearable art—no two will ever be identical.

Care & Wear Info
Natural Australian white opal is a delicate, precious gemstone that requires dedicated maintenance to retain its fire and structurally protect the stone:
-
The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your cosmetics, perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and hand sanitizers before putting on your ring. Opals are porous and can easily absorb chemical solvents, which will cause the stone to lose its spectacular play-of-color over time.
-
Never wear your opal ring while washing dishes, showering, swimming in pools, or working with household cleaning solutions. Chemicals, soap scum, and chlorine can seep around the settings and alter the stone's body color.
-
Opals have a relatively low hardness rating (5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale). Always remove your ring before heading to the gym, playing sports, gardening, or tackling heavy manual chores to avoid cracking or scratching the stone's polished surface.
-
Thermal Shock Warning: Avoid subjecting your opal to rapid, extreme temperature changes (such as washing hands in freezing water immediately after hot dishwater), which can cause the stone to develop internal fractures known as "crazing."
-
Never use automated ultrasonic cleaning tanks, steam machines, or harsh commercial liquid jewelry dips on this piece.
-
To clean safely, gently wipe down the band and stone using a completely dry, ultra-soft microfiber jewelry cloth to remove surface oils. If needed, use only room-temperature water with a drop of mild soap, clean quickly, and dry immediately.
-
Store the ring flat inside its own soft fabric pouch away from harder faceted gemstones (like the accent lab diamond or sapphires) to prevent friction scratches.
