Organic cultured pearls are delicate gems with a Mohs hardness ranking of 2.5 to 4.5. They are highly sensitive to cosmetics, acids, and abrasion. To preserve their magnificent deep luster and protect the gold plating on the clasp, please adhere to these guidelines:

• The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your perfumes, skin lotions, self-tanners, and hairsprays before putting on your pearl bracelet. Chemical ingredients quickly dull the delicate nacre layers of cultured pearls and degrade gold plating.

• Never wear your pearls while swimming in chlorinated pools, relaxing in hot tubs, bathing, or doing household chores involving detergents.

• Remove the bracelet before exercise, sports, or sleeping to avoid weakening the silk thread or putting unnecessary tension on the knots.

• Avoid automated cleaning methods: Never place this bracelet into automated ultrasonic jewelry cleaners or steam machines. Intense vibrations and heat will permanently ruin the pearl nacre and structure. Do not use commercial chemical silver/gold dips.

• To clean safely: Simply wipe the pearls gently with a clean, damp, ultra-soft microfiber cloth after wear to remove surface oils. For a deeper wash, use room-temperature water mixed with a drop of exceptionally mild, neutral soap. Wipe carefully, rinse with fresh water, and lay flat on a dry towel to air-dry completely.

• Store your pearl bracelet flat in its own soft pouch, separate from harder gemstone jewelry or sharp metal chains that could scratch the pearl surfaces.
