Natural cultured pearls are delicate organic treasures that require thoughtful care to preserve their unique colors, nacre layers, and the polished gold finish:

• The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Always apply your makeup, perfumes, hairsprays, and body lotions before putting on your earrings. Cultured pearls are porous, and cosmetic chemicals can dull their natural white or mauve luster over time.

• Remove the earrings before swimming in chlorinated pools, relaxing in hot tubs, or taking a shower.

• Take the earrings off before exercising, playing sports, or going to bed to protect the hinged leverbacks from being bent or damaged.

• Avoid automated cleaning methods: Never place these earrings inside automated ultrasonic cleaners or steam machines. High-frequency vibrations and heat can loosen the pearl caps or permanently fracture organic pearls. Do not use harsh liquid chemical silver dips or abrasive gold polishes.

• To clean safely: Gently wipe the pearls and gold-plated silver elements after wear with a clean, dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth to remove surface skin oils. For a deeper wash, use room-temperature water mixed with a single drop of mild, neutral soap. Wipe gently, rinse thoroughly with fresh water, and lay flat on a dry towel to air-dry completely.

• Store your earrings flat in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box to protect them from being scratched by harder gemstone jewelry.
